PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As part of the library refurbishments Pirin Projects were sub-contracted to complete the installation of a suspended ceiling and partition walls.
For the ceilings our team completed the installation of a Saint Gobain Ecophon Master F Suspended Ceiling which was fixed directly to the existing ceiling.
We then installed Armstrong World Industries Ultima Db acoustic Suspended Ceilings on an Armstrong 24mm grid to help keep the library quiet by absorbing sound.
A solid plasterboard partition was installed to create workroom space. Plasterboard bulkheads were created for roof lights and to house removable wall installation.
A 12mm single glazed toughened glass partition with manifestation was installed to create a children’s play area and buggy park.
Saint Gobain Ecophon acoustic circular wall panels were installed in children’s library area. These are the coloured circles you can see on the walls. Whilst being decorative they serve a practical purpose.
